Study of electric and hybrid vehicle systems. Study of power transmission system, clutch, gear box (Simple Numerical), propeller shaft, universal joint, differential gearbox and axles. Vehicle active and passive safety arrangements: seat, seat belts, airbags and antilock brake system. (Chapter - 6) Unit V Introduction to Manufacturing Conventional Manufacturing Processes : Casting, Forging, Metal forming (Drawing, Extrusion, etc.), Sheet metal working, Metal joining, etc. Unit VI Engineering Mechanisms and their Application in Domestic Appliances Introduction to Basic mechanisms and equipment.
